Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce committee members are on-the-ground connectors and cheerleaders for the local business community.

Committees Help the Chamber Do More

Committee members make a direct impact on the success of Waukee’s business community and the Chamber.

They build relationships with Waukee area business owners and create events and opportunities for Chamber and community members to learn and grow.

Committees meet monthly and are volunteer-based.

Ambassadors Committee

Passionate about connecting and serving our members and area businesses, ambassadors reach out to members to understand needs, celebrate wins, and introduce them to Chamber and community resources. They attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies and Chamber events.

Meets on the second Thursday of the month, 12 – 1 pm

Economic Development Committee

Economic Development Committee members promote economic growth in the community, visit upcoming businesses and sites in Waukee, and plan the annual Waukee Economic Development Bus Tour.

Meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, 12 – 1 pm

Events Committee

Events Committee members plan and hold events throughout the year that bring Chamber and community members together, including the annual banquet and golf outing.

Meets on the second Tuesday of the month, 7 – 8 am

Government Affairs Committee

As the legislative voice for Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce members, committee members bring annual and election-year events to life that allow members and the community to learn, advocate, and network.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for Chamber member recruitment and retention. Their mission is to make Chamber membership a beneficial investment for local businesses while also strengthening and maintaining relationships with current members.

Business to Student Connection

The Business to Student Connection Committee organizes one-time scholarships annually for graduating seniors from the Waukee Community School District who plan to attend Iowa institutions following graduation.

 

 

Waukee Young Professionals Committee

Waukee Young Professionals empowers young professionals who live or work in Waukee to come together, build relationships, and make a positive impact within the local community. They hold monthly events, with a regular focus on philanthropy.
