I’m beyond honored to officially step into the role of President & CEO of the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce — a position that feels less like a new job and more like a natural extension of the work and heart I’ve poured into this community for years.
For those who know me, you know this isn’t only about business. It’s about people. It’s about Waukee.
As a small business owner, previous Chamber board member, Ambassador, and dedicated community partner — I’ve had the incredible privilege of working alongside so many of you: at ribbon cuttings, networking events, economic development tours, city collaborations, and through meaningful partnerships with organizations like Waukee Community Schools, Parks and Recreation, and local nonprofit community outreach.
This Chamber has long been the heartbeat of Waukee’s business community — and now I have the privledge to help guide its rhythm with enthusiasm.
What This Role Means to Me
Taking on this role isn’t about a title. It’s about impact. I see the Chamber as a connector — a force that brings people, resources, and ideas together to make our city stronger, more resilient, and more innovative.
I’m stepping in with a deep respect for the foundation that’s been built, and a bold vision for where we can go next. My leadership will focus on three key pillars:
Connection-Focused Growth: Building authentic relationships across businesses big and small, startups to legacy companies, nonprofits to public institutions.
Resource-Driven Strategy: Providing meaningful value to our members and helping them thrive through programs, events, and support that meets their needs.
Momentum-Minded Leadership: Ensuring the Chamber continues to evolve with Waukee — always moving forward, together.
What’s Next?
You’ll continue to see me at coffee shops and committee meetings, at ribbon cuttings and community events — because that’s who I am at the core. Present. Invested. All-in.
This moment is not just the beginning of a new position — it’s the continuation of a commitment I’ve had to Waukee from day one.
